Extend your career into freelance session styling.

Certificate IV provides an extension of qualifications. Stylists learn to become proficient in some of the more advanced technical aspects of hairdressing, including haircutting, hair colouring and colour correction. At Clip Joint Education you will design and present a portfolio of your work that can help you to extend your career into the area of freelance session styling.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements are in place to make sure that students who gain entry to Clip Joint Education courses have the skills and abilities they require in order to successfully complete their studies. The following are required for all Clip Joint Education courses:

  • Successful completion of Certificate III in Hairdressing: WRH30109 CRICO Course Code: 071634M
  • Good eye and hand coordination, colour awareness and manual dexterity
  • A creative instinct is an asset
  • Provide the last two years of study transcripts/results (if applicable)
  • Agreement to the policies and procedures as set out by Clip Joint Education
  • Demonstrate a passion for hairdressing

Access to vocational courses is open to all students who have successfully attained the prerequesite English language level as determined by Clip Joint Education and met any prerequisite and entry requirements as stated for each course. Courses will be offered if enrolment numbers are viable and human and physical resources are available.

Course duration

For Australian domestic students Certificate IV requires a number of non-contact assignments. Students will attend regular training sessions, part time for a six-month period. The time needed to complete off-campus assignments will be approximately the same; i.e., six hours per week.

For International Applicants: This course takes approximately 6 months, attending classes 3 days per week. A more flexible timetable can be arranged through discussion with our Recruitment Manager.

On completion of your studies you will receive a Nationally Recognised Certificate IV in Hairdressing WRH40109 CRICOS Course Code: 07163M.
