The first Clip Joint Salon opened on fashionable Melbourne Street North Adelaide in 1970. We still operate in this café culture precinct, the heart of cool in South Australia. The salon became an instant success with a foundation based on good, structural cutting that could adapt to any style or fashion. A second salon was opened in 1983 in Burnside Village, Adelaide’s premier shopping centre. Clip Joint remains unswerving in delivering the best cuts, the best colours, the best service, with total attention to detail.
As a response to industry demand we opened an education facility in 1986. The focus on a mastery of timeless techniques instils confidence in every stylist who passes through the school. The techniques used at Clip Joint Education are uniquely stylish and proven by the success of our graduates in finding quality employment in the hairdressing industry.
Clip Joint Salons and Clip Joint Education now employ over 50 staff, creating a vibrant and dynamic company, large enough to offer great career and training opportunities, yet small enough to provide a supportive environment for all personnel.
We are known as the leading hair stylists where a trend-aware image is created for our clients without being slaves to fashion. Rather, our comprehensive service adapts fashion to the individual.
