Course Description
Explore a career as a Make-up Artist in this 18 week fun and interactive evening course. This course contains two units from Certificate II in Retail Make-up and Skin Care SIB20110 and introduces the fundamentals of Make-up Artistry to those wanting to pursue a career as a Make-up Artist, Retail Make-up consultant or for Qualified Hairdressers wanting to up skill and advance into editorial, session styling and special occasion hair and make-up services.
This course includes a Napoleon Perdis fashion make-up workshop, conducted by one of Napoleon Perdis' creative team members. Students will learn the latest make-up trends and techniques from Napoleon Perdis including his work from overseas and Australian fashion weeks.
The course concludes with a professional photo-shoot, where students are given the creative freedom to implement what they have learnt over the 18 weeks, whilst being guided by industry professional photographers and session stylists. Students graduate with a professional photo to build their industry portfolio.

- Skin preparation
- Analysing face and eye shapes
- Contouring and highlighting
- Make-up selection and tools of the trade
- Colour theory and make-up designs
- False eyelash application
- Day/evening make-up
- Bridal make-up
- Exotic make-up
- Introduction to hair up-styling
- Demonstrating and recommending retail cosmetic products
- Photographic make-up
- Session styling for fashion shoots
Unit Outcomes
SIBXFAS201A - Design and apply make-up SIBXFAS202A - Design and apply make-up for photography
Study Outcomes
On successful completion of your studies you will receive a nationally recognised Certificate of Attainment for the two units SIBXFAS201A Design and Apply Make-up, SIBXFAS202A Design and Apply Make-up for Photography issued by Clip Joint Education.

One night per week (Wednesday) for 18 weeks - 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
