Sally Bell
Currently Studying
Certificate III, Apprenticeship Clip Joint Melbourne Streeet
Sally started her hairdressing career in May 2010 after wanting to be a hairdresser forever! more

I chose to study hairdressing because:
It has always been my passion, I've never wanted to do anything else!
I am enjoying:
At the moment I'm really enjoying colour work, and my blowdrying clients.
I am inspired by:
New fashion and styles coming out. Also Mirranda Kerr, she's so fit, healthy and beautiful!
Favourite thing about hairdressing is:
Making the clients feel amazing and hearing great feedback. My co-workers at Clip Joint North Adelaide make coming to work both fun and rewarding.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
As a senior stylist at Clip Joint and having the opportunity to travel with my career.
My advice to others thinking about studying hairdressing is:
It's an amazing experience and hard work, however it is very rewarding and all your hard work pays off!

Emma Ronksley

I am enjoying:
Learning new things about hairdressing and meeting new people.
I am inspired by:
My vet teacher Kerrie! She’s the best!
Favourite thing about hairdressing is:
Making people feel good about themselves, which always happens when they have a great new hairstyle!
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?:
Hopefully working in a salon and then eventually own my own salon.
My advice to others thinking about studying hairdressing is:
Even if you have the slightest interest in hairdressing, give this course a go, because it’s the best thing I’ve ever done!

Georgia Gagliardi
Currently Studying
Certificate III, and an apprentice at Clip Joint North Adelaide
Georgia started her hairdressing career while still at school, with a School Based Apprenticeship. She studied one day a week, and worked on Saturdays. This enabled her to complete her year 12 studies, and start her Apprenticeship. She is now flying through her 2nd year and enjoying every minute! more

I chose to study hairdressing because:
I was looking for a creative career, where I could spend time with lots of different people every day!
I am enjoying:
The flexibility, the fun atmosphere and the great teachers at Clip Joint Education. I love that the school is in the middle of the city.
Favourite thing about hairdressing is:
Spending all day chatting with people, in a beautiful salon!
I am inspired by:
The many talented hairdressers I work alongside every day!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
Working as a successful Senior Stylist at Clip Joint. (And hopefully I will have seen a large chunk of Europe as well!!)
My advice to others thinking about a career in hairdressing is:
Undertake any work experience opportunities, network with other people in the industry, don’t be afraid to make mistakes and enjoy what you do!

Gina King
Currently Studying
Certificate III, IV and a Diploma in Salon Management as an International Student
Gina moved to Perth orginnally to study hairdressing. She then switched to Adelaide seeking a new location for her studies and thoroughly enjoys living in Adelaide and studying at Clip Joint Education! more

Where are you originally from:
England!
I moved to Adelaide because:
It was due to meeting a new friend in Darwin, who happened to live here. It was a very good decision. I love Adelaide and enjoy attending Clip Joint Education.
My favouite thing about Adelaide is:
The culture, art, funky cafes, Rundle Street area, the lovely beach culture and the friendly Adelaide people.
At Clip Joint Education I enjoy:
Being on the salon floor. Interacting with colleagues, clients and educators.
Favourite thing about hairdressing:
Cutting, restyling, colouring - "Clients being satisfied with your hair creation for them"!
My advice to others thinking about a career in hairdressing is:
Commitment is very important, learn as much as you can from trainers and colleagues alike. You learn constantly.
I am inspired by:
All the educators at the Clip Joint Academy who have taught me so much! An English Hairdressing TV Show called 'The Salon' and Alan Shearwood - a hairdresser I worked with in Perth.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
Hopefully still in Australia, being a successful hairdresser, still learning new things and passing my knowledge forward to new stylists.
