Well done Miranda on winning the Australian School-Base Apprenticeship of the year 2009!

Miranda, one of our very talented studens, was over the moon when she found out she had just won the award for Australian School-Base Apprentice for 2009.

Miranda's St Joesephs's School teacher Mr Scott Ambrose nominated Miranda as he was clearly as impressed as us with her enthusiasm, talent and effort she was applying to her work at The Hair Worx and study at Clip Joint Education.

The Clip Joint Education Team couldn't be prouder of Miranda and her achievements.

For these step-by-step workshops we will supply mannequin-heads. Most suited to 3rd and 4th year apprentices and return to work stylists.

WOMEN'S CREATIVE CUTTING

Extend your creative cutting skills with two interactive courses. Build and strengthen your technique whilst stimulating a fresh perspective into your fashion-focused hairdressing. Clip Joint will provide suitable models for Look & Learn I.

Monday 22nd February will see the Hilton on Victoria Square host the SA PreDone Competitions organised by Hair & Beauty SA. The Adelaide competitions are a great way to start exploring the world of hairdressing competitions that can take you all over the world! Hot new VET Program for 2010!

Clip Joint Education has upgraded the very popular Certificate II in Hairdressing VET program to be consistent with the 'Future SACE' program. The course is now delivered over one year, with students gaining 3 SACE points per successfully completed semester, totalling 6 SACE points for the year.

We have already received a huge response from SA schools and are looking forward to assisting many Secondary school students start their hairdressing career in 2010!

Thunderbird netballer Natalie Medhurst visited Clip Joint Educationthis week prior to her fashion shoot for the Sunday Mail.

Clip Joint Education student Van Kim thoroughly enjoyed the experienceof stylingthe sportingpersonality's hair for the shoot.

Natalie's natural make up look was created by Rachael Bakes, Clip Joint Education's make up specialist. Head of Education for diploma students, educatorJohnny Georgiou, pictured left with Van and Natalie, was on hand to assist.

Huge congratulations to Stacey Smith and Loren Birt who both took out top honours!

Stacey Smith from Coco's Hair Day Spa won the Open Runway Make-up category, while Loren Birt from The Salon Hair & Beauty came top ofthe Open 2009 Bridal category!

The ever popular 2 Day Introduction to Hairdressing course has been scheduled for the following dates

23rd & 24th April 2009
16th & 17th July 2009
8th & 9th October 2009

This course provides an insight into the world of hairdressing. Most suited to secondary school students who are thinking about a career in hairdressing. Learn the answers to the questions most often asked:
Does my hair look good like this?
How do hairdressers do such neat ponytails?
What is teasing?
Is the pay good?
How do apprenticeships work?

Topics include:
